Sound Meditation: A Sanctuary for Deep Nourishment

Step into a world of pure relaxation and effortless flow.

A Sound Bath is more than just a meditation—it’s a full-body experience of deep rest, renewal, and self-connection. As waves of sound wash over you, they gently guide you into a state of stillness, allowing you to release stress, soften tension, and restore your energy from the inside out.

For centuries, sound has been a sacred tool for healing and transformation. In ancient Greece, Apollo ruled both music and medicine, while in India, Saraswati embodies meditation, creativity, and sound. These traditions remind us that sound is more than just what we hear—it’s a pathway back to ourselves.

Using instruments like gongs, singing bowls, and chimes, Sound Baths naturally shift brainwaves from busy, thinking states into deep relaxation, where the mind quietens, the body unwinds, and the heart opens. In this space, you are gently held in serenity, supported in releasing what no longer serves you, and guided back to your own inner wisdom.

By causing our brain waves to change, sound can take us effortlessly into an altered state of deep awareness (meditation). This state helps us to access the wisdom from within that is usually drowned out by the chattering mind. In this stillness we can hear and appreciate our body's wisdom returning to harmony. Finding harmony through Sound. 

This is self-care in its most effortless form—a moment to pause, breathe, and be.

​Currently I offer monthly sessions at Yoga Reading and almost weekly sound sessions at other venues around Berkshire, Oxfordshire and London.

  • Sound meditation is a deeply restorative practice that uses the healing vibrations of sound to calm the mind, release tension, and restore balance. Through instruments like crystal bowls, gongs, and chimes, these frequencies gently guide you into a meditative state, allowing for deep relaxation and energetic alignment.

  • During a sound meditation session, you’ll be invited to simply lie down, close your eyes, and surrender to the soothing waves of sound. As the vibrations wash over you, they help dissolve stress, quiet mental chatter, and bring a sense of deep peace. Each session is a journey inward—a time to rest, reset, and reconnect with yourself.

  • I use gongs, crystal bowls, Tibetan singing bowls, shamanic drums, rain sticks and a whole array of sacred instruments, all perfectly tuned to send you into a state of pure bliss. Each instrument creates its own frequency which will help guide you to a meditative state. These sound waves are known to trigger the creation of theta brain waves, which are associated with deep relaxation and healing. Sound bathing generally starts with a light breathing exercise which gradually quietens your mind.

  • Sunday’s sound bath was such a lovely treat. This is the first time I’ve joined a dedicated sound session and I found it so relaxing and joyous.
